Apply the Wallet Process ~ Abraham Hicks inspired.
"When you play this wallet game the first time it is possible that in dentifying things that you want to purchase you may activate your feeling of not enough money. So in the first minutes of the game you may feel an increase in your discomfort rather than an increased feeling of relief. But as you play the game, if with each item that you identify you'll stop and acknowledge "yes, if I really wanted to I do have the money right here, right now to make this purchase", your discomfort will soften. And as you play the game longer, that discomfort will go away altogether. And once the discomfort has gone, the resistance is gone, and when the resistance is gone you're financial situation must begin to improve." ~ Abraham Hicks
I had to get that quote down, because although I loved the sound of this game, there is a resistsance in it for me. The resistance for me is the fact that when I want something, I want it now. This is either because I need that item (I'm really hungry and really need to buy that food), or because I only really ever consider purchasing something once I've gone over it in my head. For instance I may have thought about drinking red wine instead of buying some beers. So I've pre-thought that I've bought some red wine. It seems ridiculous then to not actually buy that red wine, but instead simply say "I could buy that bottle of red wine if I really wanted to". Well I do really want to! And if I really want to buy something I can afford, I have always bought it. I have rarely ever denied my desire to purchase something once I have weighed everything up (value, desire, etc) and decided that I can afford it. By not buying the item, it would seem that I am suppressing a good feeling choice I have made, and therefore adding more resistance, not more allowing.
Yes it's about the journey, but if we knew we'd never reach the destination, the journey would become boring. So if I made a decision to buy some red wine and was looking forward to tasting it, but then I knew that I had no intention of going to the shop to buy any, then my initial decision would lose its enthusiasm. Sure you could say that the Universe could send someone round to my house who just happened to bring a bottle of red wine with them. However, when one has set up in their own minds the means by which the wine will come to them (by me going to the shop and buying it), then knowing that you aren't going to do that (adding resistance), then you are in a resistant state and possibly can't allow anyone to call at your house, holding a bottle of red wine.
Money gets you things, that's the whole point.
I think the thing is, money invokes an action journey. We can follow the teachings of Abraham, practice various processes, mediate, visualise. We can sometimes become frustrated or angry on our emotional journey, and have to emotionally work around that. Yes this takes focus. But when we get it right, we reap the rewards of that focus. However if we're having a hard time focusing/allowing, it can be hard for us to cope. Often I'll enjoy a couple of bottles of beer (or wine, glasses not bottles, lol) to unwind. Just having a couple chills me out without defocusing me. So I'll go to the shop and buy said beer/wine.
Hmm, but oh no! I'm playing this wallet process and instead of always actually physically spending money, I want to vibrationally spend it. That's the point at which I get mad. You see, no matter what else I have no means to get only by a physical action journey (so must have to do all that boing emotional jouney stuff on, lol), I always have my income to spend. And I usually spend it all! I always have enough for a few beers, a couple of nights out, pay my rent, get some nice treats here and there, etc. Plus get the essentials I need to survive, like food and water. And now you're telling me I must lose that too! I must simply vibrationally have it, and not physically *throws tantrum* lol. No, no way. I gotta have something to keep me going.
Ok, sure you can buy food to eat, pay your rent/mortgage, etc. We don't want you to vibrationally pay your utility bills, lol. But you have to ask yourself, why do these treats 'keep you going'? You've already said that some beer/wine or a good night out keeps you chilled. But why the stress in the first place. This is a quandary, and I'm about to unravel it for you.
The wallet process is probably the best process there is to allow money to flow into your experience. And yet, it cannot be practised if all of your income is always accounted for. And I say it's all accounted for because in your mind you're saying to yourself that the money that you had to 'work hard' for, that's yours, and that's not something anyone can mess with (not even Abraham). So you already have it all spent in your mind, and not just in your mind, you're going to physically spend it! And you know how! You know which shop you're going to, which online store, when you'll be expecting delivery of that item, etc, etc.
Money is such a huge part of our experience, and that becomes very troublesome when we're resistant to it. We try and be an allower of wellbeing most of the time, all whilst trying to ignore the elephant in the room: Money! But because money is such a huge part of our experience, resistance to it causes a resistant vibration that affects all other parts of our lives.
It's interesting that the reason we don't do the wallet process is because we have accounted for all the money that we have, in order to (strategically over the month) temporarily soften the resistance caused by our lack of money mindset, which is perpetuated by not doing processes like the wallet process. Haha, read that again a few times if you like. I did!
Yes but we don't have to put our entire monthly income into the wallet process game. Or we don't have to cut out all the treats, only buy the essentials, and leave ourselves with the rest just for vibrational spending, do we? No, it is only £100/$, whatever. The reason I give the 'extreme' example of denying yourself a bottle of wine/a few beers/treats, is to make the point that the more that you do the wallet process, the less you will 'need' these temporary fixes. And I say 'need' because there is nothing wrong with anything, but I believe it is better to want (but aren't particularly fussed if you don't get them) a few beers because you want them, not because you can't cope without them. If you can't cope without certain things that give you temporary relief, then what are the chances of you putting aside £100 to spend it vibrationally over and over.
So now you suggest we spend 10 bucks over and over. Why 100? Seems like a lot! Based on average incomes, putting aside 100 bucks shows a commitment to the process. You have to understand the benefits of the process before you reap the rewards. 100 bucks put aside means less to physically spend on giving us relief, on seeing us through to next pay day. But relief will not be needed, for becoming an allower of money will free us up in so many ways that we can take it or leave it when it comes to anything we want to purchase.
This whole post is designed to show us all why we may not be engaging with a process that can yield such benefits. It shows us that we can change, we can focus in a direction we want to go in, resistance free and fully allowing. This post sure helped me a lot. Who knows, maybe it helped someone else. Wouldn't it be nice if it did.
Thanks! :D
