Leonardo da Vinci said:
study the art of science
study the science of art
What did he mean?
Think of it this way: The source (science of all things) does not need to be understood scientifically, but rather, imitated. That is to say, we are not only the artists, we ourselves are works of art, perpetually being bettered. We can see this in da Vinci as well, as over many years he always made the slightest of changes to the mona lisa, constantly trying to reach the ultimate.
Does the ultimate exist? or are we on a lovely road to nowhere in particular. If it's the latter, we might as well enjoy the view.I think it's a matter of perspective.
Definition: Art
the conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colours, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty
Align yourself with the source (science of all things)
Be that source, mould yourself, think yourself into joy, into fulfillment, into your self-realisation.Speak it to yourself! Think it! You are the source!
Ok, so we have that one down, seems straightforward enough.Paint yourself into heaven.
So why the need to study the science of art ?
Well, think about where your concept of "heaven" came from.It has to have come from somewhere.Your ideal at present is conceptualized through that which you are currently aware.
The science of art is the creating of possibilities, and art of science is the fulfillment of those possibilities.
Don't get het up with this, it's pretty simple but can get you in a spin if you try to analyze it too much.I know it does that to me.Basically they're one and the same.
See it like this:
When we are truly happy and allow, good things will always come to us when we act that way, ie: law of attraction (art of science).
The fact that we became aware of the above in the first place (science of art)
The above can be reversed, it doesn't really matter.Like I said earlier, it's really one and the same anyway. In fact da Vinci's four principles were all saying the same thing, a guide to onesness, wholeness, the ultimate:
Study the art of science
Study the science of art
Know that everything is in some way connected to everything else
Learn to see
Study!
